A BIT ABOUT M&M DETAILING

I grew up with my parents detailing cars on the side from their everyday jobs. They contracted with a couple dealership in my hometown. I would also be outside “helping” when I was little, then as I started getting older I would start actually helping. My father taught me how to do paint correction the old way using a rotary machine with the wool pads. Now days it’s the long throw machines with foam or microfiber. My father is in Law Enforcement and has been since before I was thought of and my mother had MS and was unable to work full time, she has since passed away in 2011.

I’ve always been detailing vehicles off and on my whole adult life. Just last year I finally decided to officially start up a side gig for doing it. Since then I have been experimenting with different products and brands. I’ve always been a Meguairs fan and they have good products. But that being said, I have been and will continue to search for the right product that suits me and my clients. I will also use a wide variety of products since some companies do not offer certain types of products. 

My clientele is everyday people. I live in a rural farm community so most of the vehicles I detail are used and abused on the farm or they’re the farmer’s wife’s kid hauler that are usually trashed from going down dirt roads. I also will detail for a dealership here in town on occasion, I work part time at the body shop side for them too. 

My everyday job is in law enforcement but I have always been passionate about detailing. I average only 2-4 vehicles a week since I do have a full time career.
